When people think about Tango, most of the time they think Tango is a difficult dance, a sexy dance, and therefore out of reach.
Tango is in fact a dance for everybody. Tango is an intimate dance, in the way that it’s friendly, warm, and welcoming.
Studio T is a forward-thinking Tango learning lab. Here we learn how to communicate with ourselves and with others using Tango, along with lots of laughing and joking through the awkwardness of learning something new.
We are cautiously optimistic about teaching classes again. We will not be accepting any new individual students yet, but would like to invite up to 5 couples to join us every Thursday. You must attend with a partner and there will be no partner switching. Mask must be worn.
In order to attend classes you must be able to say no to the following questions:
Within the last 14-days, have you experienced a new cough or fever that you cannot attribute to another health condition?
Within the last 14 days, have you had close contact, without the use of appropriate PPE, with someone who is currently sick with suspected or confirmed COVID-19?* (Note: Close contact is defined as within 6 feet for more than 10 consecutive minutes)
Once at the Centre:
*Follow signage and guidance displayed
*Use anti-viral gel provided on entering and leaving the building
*Please wear your own face mask if you are coming into the Branksome Community Centre
*Sanitise the activity hall after each use
*Maintain social distancing - the hirer is responsible for ensuring this is happening during their sessions use the separate entrance and exit for toilets, one family or individual visitor at a time, each visitor to use anti-viral spray on taps /sink after use
I cannot bring the drinks and snacks like I used to, so please bring your own drinks.

Class is about learning and understanding the fundamental building blocks to dance tango. It's a fun, relaxed learning environment, laced with plenty of jokes and goofy analogies. I'm here to give you the best advice possible from my 15 years experience, giving you multiple options so you can find your own tango voice and style. Practica is all about putting your new knowledge in motion, social dance and to ask questions when needed.
